4. Do you have time for distance learning?
Most students, whether traditional or non-traditional, are trying to balance a variety of roles: student, worker, parent, daughter or son with all having their own set of commitments and pressures. The appeal of distance learning for such busy people is the flexibility it offers to them. Flexibility should not be mistaken though for minimum time commitment. To be successful in a distance learning course requires the same time commitment required by a traditional course.
To see if you will have enough time to be successful in a distance learning course, take our time survey. The time survey helps you identify how you use the 168 hours that are in a week. A typical college course requires a 9 to 15 hour study commitment per-week. Will you have time enough to take one, or more courses?
